With so much uncertainty about employment, finances, just trying to keep up with everything, it can have a significant impact on physical and mental health.  Add to this, the upcoming holiday season and it can quickly become too much for anyone.  Please check out these resources for assistance.

On October 21st, the SOC was fortunate to have Grace Chapel, Youth and Family Liaison with the Early Psychosis Care Center speak about impactful programming that assists youth and young adults with their successful transition to adulthood.  Her slide deck and resources are included here!

On November 13th, the joint MEMC/CDRN meeting will occur. Are you a community-based, faith-based, childcare, healthcare, or other organization serving a vulnerable population that wants to learn more about emergency preparedness and have an opportunity to meet those who will respond to your potential emergency in the future? Then this is the event for you!  Read more about this meeting by clicking the button.

AT A GLANCE...

SOCCEED is not just a group or team but rather a family of social service organizations, local government, schools, places of worship, our neighbors, anyone invested in the lives of all residents across the Kansas City Metro area. This family has grown to include in 2024, "Children and Youth in Disasters" (CYID), a group dedicated to helping children successfully emerge from all types of traumas and disasters.  The SOC and CYID have combined into a strong, unified partnership as we come together and create initiatives and programs that promote sustained hope, change, and independence for people that need it the most, but often receive the least assistance.  Not trying is trying to fail and SOCCEED will never not try.
